Mano Tells His Story

Painting by Barbara Thomas

REMINDER from Mano:

We all share a very large world filled with magic and wonder guided by angels, ascended ones, and elemental companions.

REMARKS from Barbara:

Next month I will continue sharing about when Mano mentioned, “the companions he brought to live in my aura and share my life.”

REMEMBERING Mary Jane:

It was beautiful to watch Mary Jane and Mano’s relationship build over the 7 years she wrote his blog.

Mano Tells His Story

Blog #82

Before Mano tells his story about when he first met Barbara in a past life, I want to tell my story about when I first met Mano in this life. Mano introduced himself to me the day I moved to the mountain in October 1987. As soon as I had unpacked enough boxes, I was eager to walk to the Amphitheater, which is the sacred space I felt was the reason I had been called to move to Ben Lomond.

Somehow it felt very natural when I became aware of a large gnome walking beside me.  Every day when I walked to the Amphitheater Mano was always present to greet me. The dimensions between worlds are very thin in that sacred space and for the first time in my life, I was able to see Mano with my inner vision. His presence every day built my confidence that he was real and I was really seeing him.

There was so much magic and mystery involved with buying the Amphitheater, buying the little cabin we eventually moved into, then hearing the inner voice, say “Barbara I do not need you in San Louis Obispo any longer, I NEED you on the Mountain.” My inner knowing accepted that this all fit into the larger picture of a knowing I held as sacred after having a reading with Jack Schwartz. He told me I was a very small cog in a very large wheel and how I did my job would affect the whole wheel. Somehow buying the Amphitheater, moving to the mountain, and being welcomed by a very large gnome, all felt like aspects of being a small cog within a very large wheel.

One of the many delightful aspects of interacting with Spirit is the amazing ways they have of leading me to discover things they want me to know. This letter from Mano was written in 2007 and filed in an unobtrusive location in my computer. But I did find it and I do not remember writing it.

Mano writes, “This part of my story begins and ends with Barbara.  What I did before going to work for the Council and finding a person with whom to attach myself and build a relationship, is of no import here. I was simply doing my nature thing in a forest. Then the Council called me into special service to do my nature thing with a human being and human nature.

“Barbara and I first made our acquaintance in a previous lifetime, in a forest in Germany. She lived in a small hut she had made with her own hands out of fallen limbs glued together with clay. Similar to the log cabins in America, only made like a beehive in a rounded shape.  Actually, it was also similar to a teepee, with a hole in the center for smoke to be released.  There was a fire inside most of the time, as it was almost always cold in the forest.  All cooking was done on this fire; water was constantly warm and available. Barbara worked with herbal potions she created for people’s needs. They came from the village to be treated by her salves, often mixed with honey as a binder and a healing agent on its own.

“I entered her consciousness while she was collecting herbs in the forest. She became aware of plants lighting up and wiggling as if in the wind. She would follow these signs and find the herb for which she was searching.  Her sight was open since her mind was quiet and did not distract her. She lived alone most of her life, being abandoned as a young girl. I actually entered her life at that time to take care of her by infilling her mind with ideas on how to meet the needs of survival.

“This day we are speaking of is when she saw me.  At first, her awareness was of a small being the same size of the plant she was about to pick. I wore green and she didn’t see me at first, then I spoke to her inner mind, as I had done so often before to guide her to ideas that would meet the current need.

“She recognized the voice at the same moment she saw my form. Then it all went together for her, the memory of that voice in her head for so many years, and now seeing me. It was a great day for me to be recognized, acknowledged, and appreciated. We sat down at that point and talked.

“She had many questions about my form, my presence in her life, and thoughts in her head. I told her I had been assigned to her to protect and keep her alive, to teach her so she could be a healing force within her community.

“She was a simple consciousness and a loving heart. She was glad to be of service in this way and pleased it would give her more contact with the people of the village.

“She had traded herbs and some vegetables for things she needed from the village people. Village is a big word for the small compound of families gathered together, to live in family as community.  She had never asked to be a part of that community. She did not feel welcome on that level. She did feel there was not hatred or fear or any negativity from them to her, yet she did not feel love.

“Then one day I directed a little girl who had strayed from her home. The girl was lost and frightened. Barbara heard her crying as I had also guided Barbara to look for her plants in the direction the child had wandered.

“Barbara took the child home, washed her face and hands with the warm water always on the fire, gave her a sweet fruit and calming tea.  When the child was peaceful, she fell asleep. When she woke up Barbara took her to the village to find the family.

“At first the family wanted to say Barbara had stolen the child, but then they realized that was not true, Barbara had rescued her instead.

“They were gracious and grateful and gave Barbara baked bread and honey in gratitude. Exchanges for services were a normal part of the consciousness in that day.

“That is enough of our first meeting, told mostly about Barbara. The important point is that my story has always involved interacting with people. Through Barbara I have been able to relate with others and in that relating I have grown in my consciousness and learning. My teachers have guided me as now I guide the companions that I bring to Barbara to let them live in her aura and share her life.”

Mano closed his letter saying, “That is enough for now.”

As far as the letters are concerned, apparently that was enough. Period. I have not found any other letters. But Mano has certainly continued to teach and guide me on a daily basis.  I live with a grateful heart.

    Hello Barbara,

I enjoyed the stories. I think all of us that feel a deep connection with the Elementals in this life, have been close to them in previous lives.
Happy New Year to you and Mano!
